@eoLHerbie yeah, but they also need to do something about more power on the top end, i am tired of seeing GTR get beat by a nose @ the end of a race because it ran outta juice. More top end power plz
nISSSSSSion lol.
@DirectCore I got an 1198s and this car hasn’t got a chance at all with a rider who knows the track. I recently followed a friend in his sports car, not sure what it is but it got about 150 hp and he started playing in the corners, I’m still running in my engine so I couldn’t use the power I’ve got but I still passed him like he’d stoped and I even out cornered him through a bend, it corners like crazy my bike.
imo i hate how ppl r always comparing bikes to cars the u get bike nuts an car nuts who bitch but to me they r 2 very different machines
power -weight
shape
size
engines
they both have positives an negatives
to me they are way to different u either love one or the other more or jus dont care like me an jus love to go fast
if only nissan made the gtr lighter it would kick so much ass
The caterham would be way quicker than the Nissan around a tight track
morocrcycles are sick
I think the car would win in a race not time trial because the car could just block the lane
@Pwn00b Correct. The Desmo, S1000rr, GSX-R1000 and 1198S would have completely ass-faulted that car. I ride an 09 GSX-R600, accelerates well, I’ve never come across a car that can outrun me, at least not on highways. From a dead-start, on a straight drag, the bike will outrun that Nissan GTR (thanks to its power-to-weight ratio), but eventually the Nissan will catch up (since it’s got more overall horsepower. You’ll find yourself spending more time preventing a wheelie, due to immense acceleration.
@Pwn00b Agreed. I’ll stick to my 09 GSX-R600 instead of a car. There’s a concept that is acquainted with every mechanical engineer: the lighter the vehicle, the faster it goes.Bikes have a far greater power-to-weight ratio than any car.But put your bike up against an F1, and it doesn’t stand a chance.F1 cars are perfectly sculpted for aerodynamics. Bikes have a contact patch the size of your palm. ANd besides, most of the power is lost because you trying to prevent wheelies at hard acceleration.
@DirectCore And Michael Shoemaker in the car? I do prefer the bike though.
The bike seemed to keep up with the car well in the 2nd lap. I think its a bit of a joke that they gave the bike a wet lap and the car what was, by then, a dry lap. For only a 3 sec difference in lap times the bike would have smoked the car on a perfectly dry track. And yes, there are much faster bikes out there now (The S1000RR and the 1198S and the new Desmosedici RR which all cost much less than this car) and probably faster cars.
great handling cars will always beat bikes in corners. tons more grip from 4 tires and much wider contact patches. in the straight the power to weight ratio of the bike always wins. cars can also brake later.
bike iwll not beat a car on the tracks. straight line…different story.
Beg to differ! Raced one the other week in a straight line, 160 BHP 2006 R1 and GTR matched it to 175 mph??? Bike speed car, unbelievable!
Best video I’ve watched so far. Thank you.
@DirectCore and have schumaker drive the car.
apples to apples my friend
sorry i dont know how to spell schumaker.
Get Valentino Rossi to ride that bike – the car won’t stand a chance.
If it was dry I reckon the bike would win, in the wet/damp a car will almost always win.
@mikefin well this was around a race track and a damp track. the GTR is a very grippy car so im not supprised that it won… however bikes are a million times more fun. on a different track the bike may win. dont know.
@zomgbbqwth
but then u need some real good driver from F1 or sth who drives the car
@kregzdeM3 ive allways been a car guy and I LOVE bikes. ride every day, go to work at 4 in the morning… on my bike!!! of course… it helps living in California and that my ‘73 El Camino isnt entirely street legal YET…
@zepmon absolutly!!!!!!!!! in a car your pulled aginst the restraints and on a bike your right on the G’s… SOOOOOOOO MUCH MORE FUN ON A BIKE EVEN A CRUZER
Amazing video! It’s hard to believe that a normal sports car can actually be faster than a superbike. Of course, some people prefer a bike over a car. It’s OK. They’re both VERY capable on a race track. Great vid anyways!
The GTR is so amazing.
