Can Anyone Recommend A Good Comfort Bike?

I am looking for a medium-high quality, lower-priced comfort bike. I'm probably going to buy used. Can anyone recommend a brand/model?

For used, look at Treks and Cannondales. Cannondales have great frames on their line of comfort bikes.

Spend some quality time on the internet. Hike up the south fork of the Wood River again. Take naps.
You want to pedal at a high cadence 70-90 rpm's. You want to start out with 70 rpm's and a low resistance level for 10-12 min to warm up. Once you are warmed up increase the resistance to where you are breathing fast enough to still talk but not sing. Increase your rpm's to 90 and reduce the resistance if you need to catch your breath or your legs start to hurt. You can increase the resistance to a higher level for a short period of time and then drop back to recover. If you are not breathing hard or sweating you are not getting much out of it.
I used to have one – they are hard to use. Getting the Turkish Coffee to come out right is a science.
Someone complained cuz I RT the oldfashioned way. Does this really bother anyone else? When I edit RT, is it "misrepresentation"?

Not at all. I'm 5' 10" 165 lbs and started off w. a 600 katana. Now have a 600 yzf-r. Really no need for a bigger bike unless you weigh over 200 lbs. The 1000's just wana pop the front end up everytime you get on it if you don't weigh that much.
I recommend the Sony Reader Touch Edition to anyone with even a passing interest for an ebook reader.

I put some things on there that will surprise some people…remember, “good” or “I like it” is NOT a criteria. Though it is the case for most of them. Also, there are only films I’ve seen on there, so that’s going to be a problem right off the bat. (But the list is for our church women’s group, many of whom are not major film buffs.)
Hey Derrick! I feel your pain. Haven’t been around as often as I used to. The thing is, everyone’s got their moments. IMO, everyone’s got it in them to be a troll or to be hurtful. The difference is knowing when the person is being serious or when they are “kidding around”. When they “kid around” a little TOO much, then it’s time to remove them from your life. Everyone I know who has a Saris trunk bike rack likes it.
Trunk racks are not great at security unless you can somehow securely lock the bikes to the car itself. That's getting harder and harder these days as cars have more and more plastic components. That's one reason I abandoned trunk racks and got a hitch rack instead. If theft protection is important, you should consider a hitch rack for your husband. It's also better for the bikes and the car.

A fitness bike is a somewhat of a flat bar racing style bike. You get a hybrid's more upright posture with the weight and gearing of a racer. It'd probably be a good bike for you unless you want to do a good bit of commuting on it. In that case lean more to the hybrid and commuter bikes.
